THE BRIEF
Use the summer of tennis (Queens/Wimbledon) to reach new audiences and build awareness for MNM UK.
THE SOLUTION
Work with CHI & Partners and Partizan to utilise association with British tennis champion Andy Murray who is on the leadership council for MNM UK to create compelling content and generate additional media interest in the run up to Wimbledon. Andy Murray starred in a new advert for charity Malaria No More UK to raise funds to help save lives in Africa. The advert saw the World’s No.4 ranked player on court and building up for a big serve but he is missing a vital ingredient – a net. Andy went on to perform a series of rarely seen tricks while he waited for a net to highlight the need for nets as vital tools to stop the spread of malaria in Africa.
THE RESULTS
The campaign reached almost 26 million people through a blend of print, broadcast and digital media, including a dedicated website.
42 press clips, 6 broadcast clips, promoted on 17 sites.
Funds donated online rose by up to 166% during the peak campaign period.
