Advisor on in-housing creative and production and leading cultural change.

Arabella Gilchrist

Advisor on in-housing creative and production and leading cultural change.

I advise Boards and Senior Leadership Team’s on how to drive impact, effectiveness, efficiencies, brand salience and engaged people through in-housing their creative and production.

Enabling brands and the people that work in them to flourish.
Over my more than 30 year professional career I have led and built large multi-discipline teams for media companies, STAR TV, SKY, BBC, UKTV, Red Bee Media and TVNZ.

At big brands like The National Lottery and in partnership with The National Lottery Funding Distributors, Fever Tree, LadBible, Vice and ITV as well as with a charity start up that punched above its weight – Malaria No More UK.

I have seen the benefit to customer and staff engagement and the all important bottom line, to in-house some or all of a Brands’ Creative and production capability.
There is no “one fits all” so up front we:

 – Identify the problem to solve (desired outcome)

 – Understand the scale of ambition and the key considerations (including existing agency partners to integrate with)

 – Any barriers to overcome

 – Nominate Exec Sponsor and key contact
The National Lottery – Camelot Creative Hub

Created the successful business case to centralise and integrate historical silo’s of creative, design and production in to a single Creative Hub. Led to an audience first focus, 20% year on year increase in output, 50% increase in creative origination briefs, 6 million pieces of POS printed and delivered without issue or increase in permanent headcount.

Simultaneously, led the broader Marketing department wide (100 people) cultural transformation programme M4.0 which liberated our people to be more curious, fearless and effective against a backdrop of massive change. Helping them to re-vitalise The National Lottery brand and become the Marketing Society’s most highly commended Brand team.

TVNZ – Black Rock

Invited by the CEO to conduct a creative strategic review to identify cost savings, boost utilisation and moral of people. Recommendation to consolidate the in-house creative and production offer and sell it externally as well as an internal resource was accepted and implemented.

Having lived and worked in Europe, Asia and Australasia I love adventure, variety and people.

Naturally empathetic, curious minded and intuitive I excel at leading cultural change, building connections with people that have impact; be they individuals, communities, governments or public figures and through whatever creative medium.

Directing award winning creative, influencing policy makers to make game changing financial commitments, devising effective creative strategy, driving diversity and challenging the status quo to positive effect have been highlights to date.
